Act Generously

We freely teach and practice the dharma with clarity and compassion, extending tender care to all beings, beasts and birds, even rocks and waters.  We are not paid to do our work. Sustaining the life of a priest or an Order of practitioners allows us serve in our healing work in society. Traditionally, monks spent part of their day with bowls searching for food in the villages. Gifts greatly nourished the community.

Dana is the sacred virtue of generosity, charity and the giving of alms. Offering Dana reflects a moral imperative of sacred stewardship. Please consider giving Dana as an expression of kindness and generosity, as well as gratitude for learning and practice.
